Predictive Tool

Mr Green’s Predictive Tool has been developed by a team of industry professionals. The Tool combines how you perceive your gameplay – garnered from a simple multiple choice self-assessment test with information about your actual, real-life, gameplay data gathered at Mr Green.

The idea behind the Predictive Tool is simple, yet revolutionary. It keeps you, the player, informed about your own gameplay behaviour and advises you on possible solutions should your gameplay becomes excessive – meaning you play healthy, and your gameplay remains entertaining.

How the tool works in 4 easy steps:

  1. Open ‘My Gaming’ -> ‘Green Gaming’ in the main menu
  2. Accept Mr Green’s privacy policy concerning use of your personal information
  3. Take the personal self-assessment test consisting of no more than 15 questions
  4. The Predictive Tool will then analyse your data and provide you with a risk level score based on your results, with recommendations for how to play more responsibly.

Useful tips

Play because it’s fun – not to make money

There are hundreds, if not thousands of different games to enjoy. From huge blockbuster slot games, to simple and intimate blackjack tables. But sometimes the potential reward earned in game can outshine the fun, leading you to chase the win rather than enjoying the entertainment available. Gaming should never be used as a solution to any financial problems.

Stick to a budget

We’ve all heard it before – “Time flies when you’re having fun” and so too can your funds. So much so in fact, that you may feel you can’t tell your friends and loved ones how much you’re spending on gaming. Should you ever feel this way, it can be a strong indication you’re gaming too much. So set a budget, stick to it and never play for more than you can safely afford.

Limits are your friends

Why leave your gaming finances to chance? We’ve all been there, getting a little too carried away and playing more than you originally intended. Mr Green has made it easy to remain in control with useful, built-in tools that will help you to set wagering, deposit and loss limits so you can maximise your fun, and minimise your frustration.

Set your alarm

How many times have you forgotten to do something because you were so engaged in that latest boxset, or a thrilling round of blackjack? It happens. Mr Green recommends setting an alarm, that’s right, an alarm just like waking up in the morning. It’s a simple trick to relax, enjoy your gaming and know when to call it a day.

It’s a marathon, not a sprint

Losing is as much a part of gaming as winning, and if you’re losing, the overriding temptation is to continue gaming to win back any losses. Don’t! Take a break, clear your head and make use of Mr Green’s gaming limits to stop it from happening in the first place.

The only mood, is a good mood

Thrilling. Exciting. Enjoyable. Marvellous! That’s how we hope you feel when playing at Mr Green, but gaming when you’re feeling depressed or upset can, and will affect your decision making. Taking a risk you may not normally take or feeling constantly distracted leading to mistaken decisions. Only play when you’re clear headed and able to concentrate 100%.

Stop and smell the roses

The fun had from gaming can of course fade over time and you may get the urge to raise the stakes to artificially create excitement. STOP! This can be the beginning of a domino effect you can easily lose control of. This is the perfect moment to take a break from gaming. Mr Green gives you the option of taking a break from all gambling on Mr Green’s website. You decide for yourself how long this should last. When the period is over, and most importantly, when you want to start gaming again.

Drink, drugs and gaming don’t mix!

Alcohol and drugs will cloud your judgement and inhibit your rational decision making. Never play under the influence. Only play when you are clear headed and able to concentrate 100%.

Know yourself

Understanding your own gaming behaviour will always put you in the driving seat of your actions. But how do you begin to understand yourself? Mr Green’s Predictive Tool can help. A few minutes completing a self-assessment test, which is then compared to your actual gaming habits will help identify any potential risks.

Real life comes first

With so many games to play it can be an easy option to escape real life problems and issues, in game. Gaming should only ever be a form of entertainment and never be used as an escape.

How much is too much?

That’s the big question isn’t it? It depends, and it’s not always down to just the money, time is also a valuable commodity. Your budget (just like everything else) basically comes down to your personal circumstances.

Firstly, ask yourself in all honesty – How much money can I risk losing without it affecting my ability to manage other financial daily/weekly/monthly costs like rent, food, childcare, bills etc?

Secondly, ask yourself – How much spare time do I have to play, compared to how much time I actually spend playing? Do you spend longer than you thought playing and does that time spent eat into time with your loved ones, work, sleep etc.

Should gaming affect your life negatively in any way, it’s time to take action.

The thinking behind gaming

I have a guaranteed system to win! Follow these steps and you’re sure to win! I’ve never washed these socks and they help we win every time!… how many times have you heard these words or variants of these phrases?

Contrary to popular belief, slots, blackjack, roulette, sports betting even the lottery are ALL games of chance, period. Most players think of gaming as a low-risk, high-yield proposition when in reality, it’s the exact opposite.

From the beginning, the odds always favour the house and whilst knowledge and skill can play a role, the alluring prospect of hitting that huge casino or lottery jackpot proves too tempting, despite the overwhelming odds against them.

Its human nature to feel excited when taking risks coupled with the positive feeling gained from gambling. That feeling of anticipation creates a natural high, an adrenalin rush that many players look for in their fun and entertainment. It’s also a feeling that some people believe they cannot live without.

Gaming Limits

Mr Green understands, that it can be helpful to have a hand to manage the little things, so that you can fully enjoy the overall experience. After all, time really does fly when you’re having fun, so let us watch the clock for you with some very useful features to maximise your fun, and minimise your frustration.

Your Green Gaming Feature is a powerful and effective player companion, allowing you to define personal gameplay settings and you’ll receive a reminder once you’ve hit your max.

Limits are applicable for set calendar periods. If you set a limit, your previous activity during that set calendar period counts as well. Example: If you set a weekly deposit limit of £100 on a Wednesday and earlier that calendar week you deposited £60 already, your remaining weekly deposit limit for that week will be £40.

Never run the risk of spending more money than you expected, by setting yourself a ‘Deposit Limit’. Set a maximum ‘Deposit Limit’ so that no matter what happens or how much fun you’re having, you will never deposit more money than you can afford.

Example: If you set a Daily Max of £100, deposit £50 and then another £40, you will only have £10 left to deposit before your Daily Max has been reached. After that, you won’t be able to deposit any more money until a new day has started.

Setting your Deposit Limit is as easy as one, two, three!

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click the Mr Green silhouette
  3. Then click ‘Deposit Limit’ and enter the maximum you want to deposit for the day, week or month

Limit settings can always be lowered instantly, however if an increase or removal is requested, then the changes won’t be effective until you have approved the change after 24 hours after which a cooling off period starts.

Gambling is like two sides of the same coin, on one side there’s winning and on the other, losing. Setting a ‘Loss Limit’ prevents you from losing more than you’re willing to lose. The Loss limit controls the amount of real money you can lose from the deposits you make, winnings are not included in the calculation. With the Loss limit in place you will never lose more money than you expected.

Example: a loss limit of £100 will only take effect if the player reaches £100 in losses, preventing any further gameplay in the casino until the next play period begins.

Setting your Loss Limit is as easy as one, two, three!

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click the Mr Green silhouette
  3. Then click ‘Loss Limit’ and enter the maximum you want to deposit for the day, week or month

Limit settings can always be lowered instantly, however if an increase or removal is requested, then the changes won’t be effective until you have approved the change after 24 hours after which a cooling off period starts.

Time really does fly when you’re having fun. That’s why Mr Green’s ‘Wager Limit’ feature allows you to control exactly how much money you’re willing to spend over a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Never letting you spend more than you’ve set.

Example: a limit of £100 will give you £100 worth of gameplay in the casino, regardless of whether you are winning or losing. After £100 is wagered you will only be able to play again once the next play period comes around.

Setting your Wager Limit is as easy as one, two, three!

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click the Mr Green silhouette
  3. Then click ‘Wager Limit’ and enter the maximum you want to deposit for the day, week or month

Limit settings can always be lowered instantly, however if an increase or removal is requested, then the changes won’t be effective until you have approved the change after 24 hours after which a cooling off period starts.

Take a break

At Mr Green, we look at gaming as an entertainment experience, a pastime to enjoy. Just like watching your favourite TV shows, playing your favourite computer game or working on restoring that classic car in the garage. Playing with Mr Green should always be an enjoyable and fun experience.

But if when playing you are no longer enjoying it and find that you are getting stressed or upset, it may be time to take a break and assess if your current level of play is right for you!

Need a break?

If you want to take a break from gaming for a while, you can use the Take a Break feature on our site. This will allow you to temporarily close your Mr Green account. During this break, you will not be able to login into your Mr Green account, nor will you be able to reopen the account earlier than the time frame you have chosen. The take a break option allows you to take a break for 1, 7 or 30 days. After the break has passed your account will automatically reopen.
