Green GamingThe positive way to play

As a leading source for online entertainment, Mr Green understands that our responsibility does not stop at simply furnishing our customers with a superior online casino and sportsbook product.

In order to live up to our commitment of fair and fun entertainment, we also have a shared responsibility to help our customers only spend what they intended and to have a positive playing experience.

Green Gaming is our way of helping our players to achieve this.

Green Gaming Limits

If you take care of the small things, the big things take care of themselves, let Mr Green be that helping hand with both financial and activity checks readily available to use from within your player account. We know time flies when you are having fun so allow us to help you maximise that fun whilst minimising your risk and frustration.

Your Green Gaming Limit feature is an effective and valuable player companion, allowing you to set the defining limits of your individual gameplay so you are always within control. Our tool also offers helpful reminders that inform you when you have reached your upper limit for your respective chosen timeframe.

Whatever your preference, with financial and activity checks available, you can be assured that Mr Green offers the best solution for you. All of our limits can be set daily, weekly and/or monthly as well as the ability to activate more than one limit at a time.

Changing Your Limits

Green Gaming Limits can be easily edited from within your player account, we kindly ask you to think twice before making a change, whether it be to increase, decrease or remove the limit completely.

  • When lowering a Green Gaming Limit, the change will be instantaneous
  • When increasing or removing a limit, the change will have a 24-hour consideration period. You are always able to cancel the change of request from your player account.

Please note, past gameplay will also be counted towards your overall set limit capacity. For example, if you set a weekly deposit limit of €100 on a Wednesday and earlier that week you deposited €60 already, your remaining weekly deposit limit for that week will be €40.

If you have any concerns at all about spending more than you can afford or the amount of time you spend on site, Mr Green urges you to make full use of our Green Gaming Limits to give you peace of mind and minimise your risk.

Never spend more than you can afford with Mr Green’s Deposit Limit. By setting a maximum daily, weekly and/or monthly Deposit Limit you can be assured that no matter how much fun you are having, you will never exceed your pre-determined, set budget for the respective timeframe.

For example, if you set a daily maximum Deposit Limit of €100, deposit €50 and then another €40, you will be restricted to a €10 remaining deposit.

Setting your Deposit Limit is as easy as one, two, three!

  1. Log in to your Mr Green account
  2. Select the ‘Green Gaming’ menu where you are able to select the ‘Deposit Limit’ tab
  3. Enter the maximum amount in Euros (€) you wish to be able to deposit for the day, week and/or month

With every chance at a win, there is always the unfortunate possibility of a loss. Mr Green’s Loss Limit controls the amount of money you are able to lose from your deposits, meaning you will never lose more money than you expected or than you can afford.

For example, a loss limit of €100 will take effect if the player reaches €100 in losses, preventing any further gameplay in the casino until the next play period begins.

Setting your Loss Limit is as easy as one, two, three!

  1. Log in to your Mr Green account
  2. Select the ‘Green Gaming’ menu where you are able to select the ‘Loss Limit’ tab
  3. Enter the maximum amount in Euros (€) you are willing and able to lose from your deposits for the day, week and/or month

An hour can soon seem like a second when you are having fun and it can be very easy to lose track of time. Let Mr Green be your stopwatch with our Activity Check. Whether you are spinning away on slots or browsing our odds you will be reminded of the time you have spent so far on site.

Setting your Activity check is as easy as one, two, three!

  1. Log in to your Mr Green account
  2. Select the ‘Green Gaming’ menu where you are able to select the ‘Activity Check’ tab
  3. Enter the maximum amount of time you wish to play before being reminded of the time spent on site

Take a break

At Mr Green, we look at gaming as the ultimate in entertainment experience, something to enjoy and excite. Playing with us should always be a positive experience such as watching your favourite TV series, dancing to your favourite music or painting that perfect masterpiece.

If you feel as though you are no longer enjoying playing with us, or that you are ending up frustrated, anxious or even depressed then it sounds like it may be time to take a break from playing and assess if your current level of play is right for you.

Using our ‘Take a break’ feature on site will ensure the temporary closure of your Mr Green account for a selected time period of your choosing. During this break, you will not be able to login into your Mr Green account, nor will you be able to reopen the account earlier than the time frame you selected allowing you time to truly consider your playing behaviour.

After your break period has passed your account will automatically reopen upon attempted login.

Should you wish to extend the break period, you can do this by contacting our customer support team using the Live Chat available in the Support section.

You can also use the chat function to request to withdraw any funds you may have on an account which has been temporary closed.

Self-exclusion

If you are finding that your gameplay is having a negative effect on you personally, your situation or those around you, you are able to close your account under our ‘Self-Exclusion’ feature. This feature is available to players on-site and can also be activated by contacting our customer support services directly.

If you choose to self-exclude, you will not be allowed access to your account before your chosen, set time period has passed and you will no longer receive any marketing material from us at Mr Green. Should you wish to re-open your account after the time period has passed, you will be required to contact our customer support services and go through a consideration period before the account will be re-opened to use again.

Should you contact our customer support services in order to self-exclude your account, we will also provide you with recommended companies that may help, should you wish to talk through your gameplay behaviours and habits.

If you would like to prolong your self-exclusion period or require any further information on our self-exclusion feature, we kindly ask you to reach out to our customer support services team with your request.

Useful tips

Play because it’s fun – not to make money

There are hundreds, if not thousands of different games to enjoy. From huge blockbuster slot games, to simple and intimate blackjack tables. But sometimes the potential reward earned in game can outshine the fun, leading you to chase the win rather than enjoying the entertainment available. Gaming should never be used as a solution to any financial problems.

Stick to a budget

We’ve all heard it before – “Time flies when you’re having fun” and so too can your funds. So much so in fact, that you may feel you can’t tell your friends and loved ones how much you’re spending on gaming. Should you ever feel this way, it can be a strong indication you’re gaming too much. So set a budget, stick to it and never play for more than you can safely afford.

Limits are your friends

Why leave your gaming finances to chance? We’ve all been there, getting a little too carried away and playing more than you originally intended. Mr Green has made it easy to remain in control with useful, built-in tools that will help you to set deposit and loss limits so you can maximise your fun, and minimise your frustration.

Set your alarm

How many times have you forgotten to do something because you were so engaged in that latest boxset, or a thrilling round of blackjack? It happens. Mr Green recommends setting an alarm, that’s right, an alarm just like waking up in the morning. It’s a simple trick to relax, enjoy your gaming and know when to call it a day.

It’s a marathon, not a sprint

Losing is as much a part of gaming as winning, and if you’re losing, the overriding temptation is to continue gaming to win back any losses. Don’t! Take a break, clear your head and make use of Mr Green’s gaming limits to stop it from happening in the first place.

The only mood, is a good mood

Thrilling. Exciting. Enjoyable. Marvellous! That’s how we hope you feel when playing at Mr Green, but gaming when you’re feeling depressed or upset can, and will affect your decision making. Taking a risk you may not normally take or feeling constantly distracted leading to mistaken decisions. Only play when you’re clear headed and able to concentrate 100%.

Stop and smell the roses

The fun had from gaming can of course fade over time and you may get the urge to raise the stakes to artificially create excitement. STOP! This can be the beginning of a domino effect you can easily lose control of. This is the perfect moment to take a break from gaming. Mr Green gives you the option of taking a break from all gambling on Mr Green’s website. You decide for yourself how long this should last. When the period is over, and most importantly, when you want to start gaming again.

Drink, drugs and gaming don’t mix!

Alcohol and drugs will cloud your judgement and inhibit your rational decision making. Never play under the influence. Only play when you are clear headed and able to concentrate 100%.

Real life comes first

With so many games to play it can be an easy option to escape real life problems and issues, in game. Gaming should only ever be a form of entertainment and never be used as an escape.

How much is too much?

That’s the big question isn’t it? It depends, and it’s not always down to just the money, time is also a valuable commodity. Your budget (just like everything else) basically comes down to your personal circumstances.

Firstly, ask yourself in all honesty – How much money can I risk losing without it affecting my ability to manage other financial daily/weekly/monthly costs like rent, food, childcare, bills etc?

Secondly, ask yourself – How much spare time do I have to play, compared to how much time I actually spend playing? Do you spend longer than you thought playing and does that time spent eat into time with your loved ones, work, sleep etc.

Should gaming affect your life negatively in any way, it’s time to take action.

The thinking behind gaming

I have a guaranteed system to win! Follow these steps and you’re sure to win! I’ve never washed these socks and they help we win every time!… how many times have you heard these words or variants of these phrases?

Contrary to popular belief, slots, blackjack, roulette, sports betting even the lottery are ALL games of chance, period. Most players think of gaming as a low-risk, high-yield proposition when in reality, it’s the exact opposite.

From the beginning, the odds always favour the house and whilst knowledge and skill can play a role, the alluring prospect of hitting that huge casino or lottery jackpot proves too tempting, despite the overwhelming odds against them.

Its human nature to feel excited when taking risks coupled with the positive feeling gained from gambling. That feeling of anticipation creates a natural high, an adrenalin rush that many players look for in their fun and entertainment. It’s also a feeling that some people believe they cannot live without.
